Good game and was enjoyable to watch, but I was amazed with some of the referee's decisions. The amount of small decisions he got wrong was terrible and the big decisions were even worse. The glens fans next to me could not believe why the referee called for offside with Maxwells header when he has a linesman there who never raised his flag. BIG DECISION! The Glens No.3 should have been sent off for a second yellow when he took out one of the fields players on the half way line when attacking. BIG DECISION! Before any Glens fans start to think I'm being biased I would like to say well done, as you took your chances well, when mistakes were made and that was difference. Looking at both teams today I cannot see why both could do what hey did last year and move up to the top level together. Field keep the heads up and get on a winning foot next starting next week.

Totally agree with the above - thought the Ref. was not in control of Match and his decisions were erratic to both teams - however how the No3 of Glencairn stayed on the Park I will never know.

the referee was out of his depth in this game ... when have you ever heard a ref telling the crowd why he made the decision's... he did on 2 occasion's that i heard ....i also feel that he did not help any of the teams with his unpredictable decision's he did not have any consistency ... i think he was scared to send of glens number 3 as it would be a big influence in the game... so rather than be brave a deal with it he turned his back on it ..unlike when he collected his wage for today ... so yet again junior football has to suffer at the hands of someone who is just out to get a quick buck ...also why did he not take any notice of the linesman when he chopped off the goal ...yes that's right he was in a better position to make the call ...bull**** ( he was only 10 yards behind play ... not in line with it like the linesman )even the linesman said the player was well on side that's why he kept his flag down..i also would like to congratulate the glens and the field on to days game it was a cracker for a neutral to watch ..and i also think if the both keep playing like they did today then yes they could both move up to the next level

Totally agree about ref.I also think Ashfield look more dangerous when both wingers are given more of the ball,thats where most of the danger comes from.Just think how many goals Maxi would score with a good consistent supply.

Was a good cup tie like event yesterday with ashfield battling to the end, but the Glens just edged it in my opinion, so lets bounce back next week at Newmains!!!
