Thanks for the update on the Netherton friendly game, sounds like we are playing good stuff and good competition for the starting 11. I agree, hard to pick a starting 11, we seem pretty solid at the back, midfield is a headache with plenty of good players to choose from. A good winger(s) sounds a great option to feed Maxwell and O'Donnell.

Congratulations to Ashfield on winning the League and putting in a great performance on Friday to beat Kilbirnie....!!! We seem to have a knack of beating the bigger teams this year, Pollok, Turriff, Armadale to name a few.......my only worry is that all these games have been at home were Ashfield are becoming more formidable!! We were soundly beating away to Kinnoull and Cumnock earlier in the season, does anyone else think our next big encounter at Meadow will be one big scalp too many??? Or are we capable of pulling off which, in my opinion, is mission impossible???

Thanks for the comment!!, think Ashfield were awesome against Kilbirnie and against a team that had not lost a league game all season. Irvine Meadow are probably the best junior team in Scotland at the moment and for Ashfield to win especially down there would be the result of the junior season. I saw Ashfield at Kinnoull and Cumnock. They were poor against Kinnoull but against Cumnock they were the better side for 60mins, only poor refereeing cost Ashfield that game. If Ashfield have their full line up against Meadow then I can see it being tight!. Regards to Ashfield at home, most teams are very nervous coming to Saracen as they know what to expect ( a very tough time of it) and the pitch also suits Ashfield!.

Kilbirnie has one of the best support in the junior game which is amazing considering they were in the ayrshire district league, saw them against petershill, good football team with a noisy large support!
