Welcome to the Ashfield A & FC website. Ashfield are one of the oldest Scottish Junior Football Clubs in Scotland, established in 1886 and are the first Junior Team to win 100 Trophies. Our home has been Saracen Park, Glasgow since 1937 and is one of the few Junior Grounds to have a Stand. Please have a look around this site, we hope you enjoy it!

Ashfield made it through to the 2nd Round of the Scottish Junior Cup this afternoon winning a hard fought encounter 3-1 against Aberdeen East End. Ashfield are through to the Second Round of the West of Scotland Cup after winning 3-0 against Greenock Juniors this afternoon at Saracen Park. An awesome Second Half performance from Ashfield this afternoon at Tinto Park, Govan, netting 6 goals and finishing up winning 7-2 against a very determined Benburb Team. Ashfield suffered a heavy defeat tonight (4-0) in the Semi-Final of the Sectional League Cup at Saracen Park. Ashfield created plenty of chances but could not find the net. Paul Maxwell was also taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle to cap a miserable night for the 'field'. Shotts, to their credit, played very well and deserved to win this encounter with some clinical finishing. Match Report and Pics now on:

Ashfield won an amazing rollercoaster of a Match by 4-3 against Maryhill at Saracen Park this afternoon. Trailing 3-1 at the start of the 2nd half, Paul Maxwell completed a superb double to ensure the three points remained at Saracen. Match report & pics now on. Ashfield v Maryhill Match Report
Ashfield won on penalties (4-3) this evening against Glencairn after a 1-1 draw. Paul Maxwell scored the winning penalty to take the `field into next week`s Semi Final against Shotts Bon Accord at Saracen Park (3/9/08). Ashfield overcame a very determined Yoker Athletic this evening at Saracen Park to win the League Cup Section for the first time since the 1988-89 Season. An excellent achievement ! Martin Gault was the Ashfield goalscorer on 20 minutes and Ashfield now welcome Glencairn on Wednesday night (27/8/08) in the Quarter Finals. Ashfield lost 1-0 today against Glencairn at New Southcroft Park in the First League Match of the Season. Ashfield squandered numerous chances and were denied an absolute 'stonewaller' of a penalty midway through the Second Half against a very good Glencairn Team. The Referee was the only person in the ground who did not see this as a penalty and his performance undermined the high level played by both teams today. Ashfield lost narrowly this evening to Clydebank by 1-0. A 5th Minute goal was enough to seal the points for the Bankies, however Ashfield will be wondering how they lost this one. Ashfield travelled to Western Park this evening (30/7/08) to take on Renfrew F C in a Pre-Season Friendly. Despite a well taken goal from Darren O`Donnell shortly after Half-Time, Ashfield lost a very competitive Match by 2-1. Match report now on the following link Renfrew Ashfield Match Report
Ashfield overcame an excellent St Mirren X1 at Saracen Park this afternoon (26/7/08) by 3-2 in what was a very good Pre-Season Friendly Match. Ashfield defeat Chryston Amateurs 3-1 in their 2nd pre-season friendly. Goals from Craig Smith, Ryan Cairley and Davie Gumley secured the win.
Ashfield lost their 1st pre-season friendly on Saturday 19th July against Knightswood Amateurs. Plenty of chances were created and the team played well with recent signing Craig Smith grabbing the goal for Ashfield.

Ashfield held their Annual End of Season Presentation Night at Firhill Stadium on Saturday Night (7/6/08). Mark Thomson was the Website Player of the Year and attached are photos from what was a memorable evening. PLEASE CLICK FOR PHOTOS
There was an Ashfield F & A C Display running the month of November 2007 at the Scottish Football Museum, Hampden Park, Glasgow.
More information on the Exhibition can be found at www.scottishfootballmuseum.org.uk. Many thanks to Kenny Strang at the Scottish Football Museum for sending through the pictures. The Museum at Hampden is opened 10-5 Mon-Sat. and 11-5 on Sundays.
